In the Lady Falcons' two victories, TRISHA TUBU was the top shooter for Adamson University, winning Player of the Week honors from the University Athletic Association of the Philippines' Collegiate Press Corps.

With a 4-1 record behind the still-unbeaten De La Salle Lady Spikers, Tubu's team tightened its hold on second place with the help of back-to-back victories (5-0).

She won the weekly award given by San Miguel Corp. and the Philippine Sports Commission with an average of 18.0 points in their two triumphs, with MNL Kingpin, Tinapayan Festival, and Jockey serving as minor sponsors. After Angel Canino of De La Salle, Tubu was the second rookie to win the prize.

In their unexpectedly simple 25-15, 25-17, 25-19 victory over the University of Santo Tomas (UST) Golden Tigresses on March 8, Tubu scored 13 points, three of which she emphasized with blocks.

That victory dampened the UST team's joy in defeating the defending champion National University (NU). Last March 12, the Lady Falcons defeated the faltering Ateneo Lady Eagles by scores of 25-18, 25-23, and 25-19 to extend their winning streak to three.

With 22 attacks in 39 tries for a performance of 23 points versus Ateneo, Tubu once again shown unwavering offensive tenacity.
