The Adamson community was not just mourning the death of Mathew Salilig but was also ragingly calling for justice against the culprits of his murder.
In a protest led by the Adamson University Student Government on March 3rd, 2023, the students of Adamson called for an end to all fraternity-related violence.
The protesters, all wearing black and holding signs, gathered at the Cardinal Santos Annex Ground before marching to the Saint Vincent Ground at 6:30 in the evening.
Emotions of despair and sadness were felt by the protesters during the march and as they continuously shouted “Kapatiran, Hindi Karahasan”. The protest ended at 7:30 in the evening.
Since then, several members of Tau Gamma Phi, the fraternity responsible for the hazing and death of Klasmeyt Matt, have been taken into custody following complaints filed by Adamson students accusing 19 respondents.
The complaint included the names of Tung Cheng Teng, Early Romero, Jerome Balot, Sandro Victorino, Michael Ritalde, Mark Pedros, and Daniel Perry, all of whom were held under the custody of the Binan Central Police.
